42 Inch Plasma TVby F. J. A. Shearer-Hann My 42 inch plasma tv is practically the best that money can buy. I use my 42 inch plasma tv to watch everything, including football games, live war coverage on cnn, the 6 o clock news, and anything else that you can think of. One of the best parts of having a 42 inch plasma tv is the realism of watching it – it's like you're actually there in the heat, making tackles and calling plays, or maybe involved in a steamy romance on a soap opera, or launching cruise missles at the enemies of freedom all around the world. Before my 42 inch plasma tv, I had a standard 17 inch tv. It was okay, I mean I could make out what was on the screen, and actually thought I was getting a pretty good picture, but boy I didn't know what I wal missing out on. The best thing about my 42 inch plasma tv is the surround sound system. It means that the action is all around me in 360, so that its more than just watching tv. My 16 year old son calls it “more real than real,” and I can't help but agree. What with the massive, highe resolution 42 inch plasma tv picture, and the beautiful stereophonic sound, I don't even really need to leave the house to have fun any more. I can sit around all day watching my 42 inch plasma tv, and never get bored. Of course, the wife still likes to go out around town, so every friday night, we go out for dinner and a movie, or sometimes to play miniature golf. When shopping for a 42 inch plasma tv, it's important to know what is good and what is not. Basically, there are only a few things to look for. The first is price – a 42 inch plasma tv can cost thousands of dollars, so it's important to know that it's worth it to you and that you have the money for it. Also, there is the matter of resolution. If it is not high enough resolution, there is almost no point, especially if you like to watch dvds or have high definition television. Another thing you should look for is quality, obviously, as with all things. Will your tv last 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? The best bay to answer all of these questions is to look at consumer reviews, or perhaps read consumer reports. My wife swears by consumer reports, and she hasn't made a bad major purchase in years.
