Pamela Andersonby F. J. A. Shearer-Hann Pamela Anderson is a famous Canadian actress, model and sex symbol, most famous for her starring role in the hit series ‘Baywatch’. She is a widely recognized name and personality, especially known for her stunning good looks. Pamela Denise Anderson was born in Ladysmith, British Colombia in 1967. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Vancouver, where she grew up. In 1989 she was displayed on the stadium screen of a B.C. Lions game wearing a Labatt’s beer T-Shirt, and coincidentally there was a Labatt’s representative in the audience as well. She was hired by the beer company to model for an advertising campaign. Soon after she made her first of an eventual total of five appearances in Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine. She then had a breast augmentation, starting her fame for large breast size that she is still known for today. With her Playboy appearances, Pamela Anderson was a North American celebrity already, but it wasn’t until she began her TV acting career that she garnered worldwide fame. Her career as an actress began with two series on the television series Home Improvement, in 1991 and 1992. When she starred on the series Baywatch in 1992, she became an overnight international celebrity. She continued on the Baywatch series until 1997. In 1995 she married the famous musician Tommy Lee, from the band Motley Crue, after having known him for less than four days. They had two sons together, Brandon and Dylan, but were eventually divorced in 1998. Rumors and tabloids have been suggestive of spousal abuse and alcoholism on the part of Tommy Lee. There are also rumors that they have been back together several times since their divorce, but they have never remarried. During their marriage, one of their own personal videos leaked onto the internet, displaying the couple having sex in one of the first of what would become many celebrity sex video scandals online. In 1998 Pamela Anderson starred in the movie ‘Barbed Wire’ which was a failure in the box office. Also in 1998, she starred in her own TV series, V.I.P., which ran until 2002. In 2004 she turned down an offer to appear on the new ABC series ‘Desperate Housewives’, and in 2005 starred in the FOX series ‘Stacked’. She has also been involved in a number of charitable causes, such as animal rights and hurricane relief drives. Whether or not her career as an actress continues, Pamela Anderson is already a legend around the world, and her name is synonymous for beauty and feminine curves. F. J. A.
