Psychic Readings

by F. J. A. Shearer-Hann

Psychic readings can be both a blessing and a curse. On the plus side, psychic readings can hone in on valuable insights that lead you into truer joy and self-acceptance, as well as greater clarity about your life's path. On the down side, psychic readings can send your mind racing, make you more anxious about the future, and leave you feeling even more miserable than before about your chances for romance or prosperity. If you are considering going to a psychic healer (or going to another one as the case may be) always do your research. Here are some guidelines to help you in the process:

Consider going to a psychic that does not advertise. The hidden gems are often more genuine and accurate, and truly devoted to your deepest potential. How do you find them? One way is to go far beyond the first few pages of google. Sometimes page twenty-two of a google result has a better option than page two. Another way to find a good psychic is at a metaphysical bookstore. Browse the books written by psychics or channels and see if one speaks to you. Then search for his or her name on google and see if you can find them, rather than the other way around.

A recommendation from someone else is probably the best way to find a good intuitive guide. Got to a massage school or a yoga studio and ask someone there (the receptionist perhaps) if they know of any good ones. Or got to a spiritual chat room on yahoo, and post that you are looking for a good psychic reader on there. You might be really surprised how many people went to a psychic, possibly a long time ago, and are still being influenced by what her or she said.

It is not that the psychic readers who advertise are necessarily less trustworthy. It is just that the really good ones, once established, do not need to advertise for psychic readings. Or they advertise in less visible ways. So, look for their business cards at health food stores or metaphysical shops.

The best advice is of course to be your own "psychic reader" in the process. Follow your intuition. It is not that mysterious. How do you feel inside as you speak to someone or come to his or her website? Is there a feeling of a "façade" as you view or assess the psychic? Does he or she promise outrageous things? If so, those might be the types to avoid. On the other hand, do you feel excited or more trusting inside during your search? Do you feel an inner "yes" or am expansive feeling in your body? These are your own subtle psychic clues that you're on the right track.
