The Best Beauty Products

We're always on the look out for great beauty products, so I thought for the main Beauty page of the website, it would be a nice idea to discuss some of the best beauty products out on the market today. This section of the site will change every now and then as I review new products to decide what really is great value and what isn't!

I know that when I'm purchasing beauty products, I don't want to waste my money. Quite frankly, if I don't notice some positive changes in my skin after using a new beauty product or cream, I don't buy it again, simple as that. One great product that I've used recently (but haven't bought again because of the price, although for many people it wouldn't be too expensive) is Skin Doctor's Gamma Hydroxy. This cream is designed for skin resurfacing, and utilizes a blend of glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids (both alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids). This is supposed to loosen the dead skin which allows faster shredding of the outer layer of skin, causing an exfoliation effect. This cream is also supposed to reduce pore size, as well as improve skin color and texture (including getting rid of wrinkles!)

When I bought this product there was only one strength available. I've recently seen ads for Gamma Hydroxy Forte which is supposed to be stronger, and therefore more effective. I have every intention of trying some when I get some more cash!! With the basic Gamma Hydroxy cream, I found that I wasn't getting as much acne (even though I'm in my thirties and starting to suffer from the effects of old age, I still get acne like a teenager :( ) and my skin seemed smoother and my fine lines seemed less visible. I'm looking forward to trying Gamma Hydroxy Forte! If you are interested in purchasing this product you could try this site here (an Australian website selling it for $43.95AU (approx $32.50US or 18.60 GBP) before adding postage. I bought it from this site, as it was the cheapest I could find, I think it totalled about $50 inc. postage and handling, while most pharmacies are selling it around $70AU) or this site here (a UK website, selling it for 39.95 GBP but with free P&H in the UK). I have also seen it advertised in New Zealand, but haven't seen any links to it in the US, although some of these companies will send international orders. It's definitely cheaper in Australia, but the postage is potentially more, so do your math!
